The new Sony Ericsson K530i replaces the popular K610i, retaining all of its best features whilst gaining a couple of new ones and going on a bit of diet to boot.

Like the old K610i, the K530i has a 2 megapixel digital camera with 2.5x digital zoom, video recording, video calling, MP3 player, expandable memory, and bluetooth. What makes it different is the addition of a Stereo RDS FM radio, a picture blogging feature, and stereo bluetooth support (A2DP).

Size-wise, the K530i has been on a bit of a diet measuring in at 14mm thick, which is 3mm less than the old version. Another tweak that many will like is improvements to the battery life with standby time boosted to a maximum of 395 hours, thats 45 hours more than the best they ever got out of the K610i.

Overall, Sony have retained the simplicity & sturdy construction that made the K610i so popular whilst improving the features and performance available in the K530i.
